Who is responsible

This site is written and edited by Yannick Schroth, who moved to Paraguay and went through the residency process personally. The publishing entity is a Wyoming LLC. Full contact and entity details are in the legal notice.

Every article carries a visible author byline and publication date, and articles that have been substantially revised carry a modification date as well.

How we research

• Primary source first. Laws, resolutions and official requirements are cited with number and date, for example Ley 6984/2022 or Resolución DNM 407/2026, and we link the responsible authority.
• Cross-checked. Figures and deadlines are checked against several independent sources before they are published. Where a contradiction remains, we write it down rather than smoothing it over.
• Dated, not evergreen-by-pretence. Rules in Paraguay change. Where a figure is current as of a particular date, we say so, and we tell you to confirm it close to your own filing date.
• No unverifiable claims. Anything we cannot confirm in the primary source is either left out or explicitly hedged and attributed.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, please tell us. We check the report against the primary source. Where it is justified, we correct the article promptly.

For changes that matter to a decision, meaning anywhere someone could have acted differently on the earlier version, we mark the correction with its date in the article itself. We do not quietly delete incorrect statements.

Independence and how we are funded

Our main income is the relocation and residency service described under services, paid by clients directly. A small number of external partners pay us a commission, and every one of them is listed below.

Commission-bearing links are labelled where they appear, not only on this page. We do not publish paid guest posts, and we do not sell placements or rankings in our articles. A commission never changes what we would tell you about a provider, and no partner sees an article before it is published.

What we are not

We are not a law firm, a tax advisory practice or an accountancy firm, and nothing here is individual legal or tax advice. We coordinate the Paraguayan side of a move and introduce you to licensed local professionals, who provide the substantive advice under their own responsibility.

One thing we will not tell you what you may want to hear: if you are a US citizen or green-card holder, moving to Paraguay does not end your US tax filing obligations, because the United States taxes on the basis of citizenship rather than residence.

Our partners, and which of them pay us

The professionals we coordinate with in Paraguay, meaning tax advisors, lawyers, notaries and estate agents, pay us nothing. We make the introduction; they provide the service under their own responsibility. The partners below are the ones who do pay us a commission, and they are the complete list.

The comparison is free for you, and if you book through our link we receive a commission, calculated as a percentage of the freight. Your price is unaffected. The placement is labelled "Ad." where it appears. Because that commission rises with the size of a shipment while our shipping guide tells most readers to bring less, we keep the placement to a single spot, positioned after the cost calculation rather than before it, and our customs-clearance service is priced independently of who carries the freight.
